Jidenna returns to his Nigerian roots in his latest single Sufi Woman. It’s been since 2017’s release of his debut album The Chief we’ve heard from The Classic Man singer/rapper. Sufi Woman released alongside Tribe, both featured in Jidenna’s video trailer for his upcoming album 85 to Africa. Sufi Woman has the Classic Man trade in his wool suit and king’s English, for an Agbada and pidgin English on a quest for divine love. “We gon dance til we dizzy” Jidenna sings as the Highlife influenced afrobeat melody spins.
