Rosewood 2055 – Hey (EP)

I first came aware of Grand Rapids, MI duo, MarQ Beyond & Kysean Bell from Expressive ( also featuring Illa J, and BJ The Chicago Kid); one of my favorite tracks from the Slum Village album Yes, produced by the late J Dilla and Young RJ. Together the two Grand Rapids emcees are Rosewood 2055. Rosewood 2055 take time from touring with Slum Village, to properly introduce themselves with the premiere of their debut EP, Hey. Hey is produced by Statik Selektah, and Mozaic (AGO) with the only feature from Guilty Simpson. Here’s a Snapple Fact – The name Rosewood 2055 is actually the address of Ottawa Hills High School. The significance being that their inspirations come from there heavily.
