All eyes on Cozz. With his middle finger attitude the L.A. rapper seldom is concerned about the spotlight. In his music video, My Side, the camera pans around the Dreamville rapper, alone but surrounded by side-by-side shipping containers at the Port of Long Beach where he raps “I keep my Gs right by my side…” over Meez’ drifty instrumental. Everything is secondary to Cozz’ love of the music and his team, Tha Committee Records, as he chases his dreams. It’s in the barbershop Cozz convenes with some of his team including Meez who’s haircut is as sharp as his productions. The cardinal red tint of the barbershop scene is a fitting symbolism of a blood bond as people come and go like the shipping containers at the Californian port but blood-family-always remain.
